            “LMP 44 is a company that sells spare parts for vintage military vehicles. Our parts are sold mainly on our website and on the stock market. We work with a British supplier for some items in our catalogue.”

- How long have you been importing from the UK?

            “We've been importing from the UK for over 10 years, since the company was founded. More recently, however, we've been picking up our goods directly.”

- Have you encountered any particular challenges as a result of Brexit?

            “Following the Brexit, we were forced to have our goods, which were manufactured in England, cleared through customs. The procedures are complicated and cannot be carried out without a customs declarant. Only Dunkirk customs explained the procedures to us, as no other organisation was able to give us any information.”

- What were your selection criteria when choosing a customs declarant?

            “The selection criteria were availability, reliability and price”.

- How did you find out about our company?

            “After obtaining information from the Dunkirk customs office, we found BIMS, a local company, via the Internet.”

- What specific features of our services were decisive for you? 

            “Availability: we can only go to the UK on Saturdays, because of our work, and we're not available during the week. BIMS provides us with the service of clearing our goods through customs on Saturday morning, when the company is closed.  

BIMS is made up of very serious, friendly and competent people, who were able to answer all our questions, even though we knew nothing about customs clearance’.
